William R. Jonson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in
1968 with a B. A. in Mathematics.  In 1971, he graduated from the
University of Texas School of Law.  He is licensed to practice law in Texas.
 He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court,  
United States Court of Military Appeals, the United States Army Court of
Military Review, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the
United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of
Texas.  His practice is a general civil practice emphasizing alternative
dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration.  His practice also
includes such other areas as disability and employment law, commercial
litigation, entertainment law, and personal injury litigation.

Mr. Jonson has served as a mediator since completing the A. A. White
Institute Mediation Course in 1993.  He has also completed the Advanced
Family Law Mediation Course in 1995. He has served as a mediator for
litigants, courts, and dispute resolution organizations for more than 10
years.  He teaches arbitration continuing education at Houston
Community College.  He is an arbitrator for NASD, the Council of Better
Business Bureau Autoline Program, and the BBB.

Mr. Jonson has served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.  He
retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve Judge
Advocate General Corps. He has served as managing attorney for a
major casualty insurance and for a public disability agency.   

Mr. Jonson is active as an a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America and in
the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council.  In the latter he is a Riding Director
in the Equitation Program.
